It was a beautiful day at the prestigious Yacht Club of Monaco as the International School of Monaco celebrated the graduating Class of 2023. The setting —with its sweeping views of the harbour and elegant atmosphere —was a fitting backdrop for an occasion filled with pride, achievement, and inspiration.
For the second year in a row, an Athena Academia student received the Most Improved Student of the Year award —this time, the honour went to Cristina Schlereth. Throughout her IB years, Cristina’s confidence and determination grew steadily, supported every step of the way by Athena Academia’s dedicated tutors. This comprehensive support across all her subjects helped her reach academic levels she had never imagined possible, proving that persistence, the right guidance, and self-belief can truly transform results.
The ceremony’s guest speaker was Nico Rosberg, 2016 Formula 1 World Champion, Monaco resident, and sustainability entrepreneur. Rosberg shared personal stories from his racing career, highlighting the importance of discipline, resilience, and staying focused under pressure —lessons that resonated deeply with the graduates as they prepare for their own journeys ahead.
