The International School of Monaco’s Class of 2022 celebrated their graduation in a joyful and elegant ceremony at the Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monaco. With the Mediterranean as a stunning backdrop, the day was filled with pride, excitement, and inspiring moments for students, families, and educators alike. For Athena Academia, it was a chance to honour our graduates’ achievements and to reflect on the hard work and dedication that brought them to this milestone.
This year, seven Athena Academia students graduated from ISM:
- Miguel Pastor
- Oscar Pagani
- Jacqueline Frederikson
- Nadia Malas
- Matteo Lopez
- Marie-Lou Goeminne
- Connor Triscornia
It was also a pleasure for our founder, Tina Lyberaki, to reconnect with former students, including Oscar’s brother, and to hear about their paths since graduating.

Our graduates are now heading to some of the world’s most respected universities: Matteo and Nadia will study at King’s College London, Marie-Lou will pursue art in New York, Miguel will attend IE University in Madrid, and Connor will study Engineering. Athena Academia supported these students in demanding subjects such as Higher Level Physics, Sciences, and Mathematics, helping them secure the grades needed for these competitive destinations.
A particularly special story is that of Nadia. Tutored by Tina for five years, Nadia achieved exceptional grades in both her GCSEs and IB. Her success is a testament to her persistence, focus, and the benefits of long-term, personalised support. Athena Academia will continue to work with her during her studies at King’s College London to ensure she remains confident, well-prepared, and academically strong.
The guest speaker for the ceremony wasCesc Fàbregas, world-renowned footballer and Monaco resident, who shared insights from his career about discipline, teamwork, and resilience. His words encouraged graduates to embrace challenges, stay adaptable, and remain determined in the pursuit of their goals.

We are immensely proud of the Class of 2022 and all they have accomplished. As they embark on their university journeys and future careers, we look forward to seeing the extraordinary things they will achieve —and we will always be here to support them along the way
